Sherwood Grill

Bar and grill, Edificio Ribera

Corrientes, Argentina2026BuiltWith Estudio Arq. Martín Sandiano
Rooftop grill at dusk, full of diners: a slatted timber canopy hung with greenery and ring lights, open along one side to the river beyond.

A bar and grill set into the podium of a riverfront tower in Corrientes. A steel structure carries a panoramic glass roof over the drinks bar, while the semi-covered galleries are held open to the Paraná two different ways — fixed tensioned canvas on one, a retractable Roman awning on the other. Designed, modelled, rendered and documented for construction.

Process

Two roofs, two problems. The glass canopy over the bar had to clear the existing podium structure; the gallery awnings had to fold away without fighting the tower above them. Both were studied as isolated volumes before being put back into the building.
