A low mirrored-glass building on a lawn, reflecting the trees and sky around it so completely that its own volume almost disappears.

A school built as a mirrored glass volume that takes on the trees around it and largely disappears. The interior does the opposite: it is organised like a trading floor — stepped circular platforms with integrated LED edges, a central island under a branded ring, a café counter — so that the plan itself states what the school is for.

Process

Every platform, counter and cabinet was modelled as a discrete unit first, so that the curved edges and the lighting reveals could be set out before the floor was poured.
